I think the forum could do with losing them.

They take up unnecessary room, and if a post is really worth bookmarking, people will submit the URLs manually, no?

Fair enough if they're on articles etc, but I don't think having them on every post is justified.

I think they are a pretty good idea if they were only placed better. No need to have them on every post. Maybe just on the top or bottom of each thread?
