I don't know about anyone else, but I find StumbleUpon to be one of the best Social Media promotion sites/tools. If a post of mine gets enough thumbs up, I get wave after wave of traffic. Sometimes those waves are as much as half a year apart. Other times with certain posts it seems to be every two months, but StumbleUpon is great at giving a page more than one shot to be popular.

Yeah, stumbleupon has been very kind to me with tvgawker.com, these days I get at least a few hits a day on random old articles, and several times i've gotten really good stumble traffic for a couple days after posting something, and the trickle down is a lot slowly than with digg/reddit/etc which seems to go strong for a little while and stop dead (once the link is dropped below the first page of results I imagine)..whereas stumbleupon traffic slows down gradually over a longer time period.
